Maasai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara (The Mara), is a large national game reserve in Narok, Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It is one of the most famous and important wildlife conservations in Africa, worldly-renowned for its exceptional populations of the Big Five i.e., lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants. It also hosts the Great Migration, which secured it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, and as one of the ten Wonders of the World.
The Greater Mara ecosystem encompasses areas known as the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the Mara Triangle, and several Maasai Conservancies.
Masai Mara stretches across an area of 580 square miles (1,510 sq km). It is one of Africa’s most coveted wildlife-viewing destinations.
Other Popular wildlife that is in the Masai Mara includes hippos, giraffes, waterbucks, reedbuck, roan antelope, warthogs, gazelles, zebras, baboons, crocodiles, various species of monkeys, and black rhinos.
Most people target the months between July and October with hopes of experiencing the wildebeest migration through the park.
Activities in the Maasai Mara

The safari begins early in the morning, with a pre-dawn pick-up from your hotel. As you make your way to the launch site, the sun begins to rise, casting a golden glow over the savannah grasslands.
